Trulli Musone • Ostuni
Design and restoration of a trulli and lamie complex in Apulia.
An ancient trulli and lamie complex has been completely restored, revealing several rooms with conical and vaulted roofs. This meticulous restoration has created four comfortable suites with private bathrooms. A large, bright living room, harmoniously connected to the outdoor space through a series of large windows, was built from scratch and seamlessly integrated into the existing complex. The outdoor kitchen area, simple yet sophisticated, is an integral part of the architecture and natural surroundings. Elements of Apulian nature inspire the countertop, which is made of concrete pigmented with powders derived from local stones, giving it a neutral tone. The house is surrounded by a garden with a swimming pool and several terraces defined by dry stone walls and paths that create different spaces. These elements come together to form a captivating and cohesive outdoor space.
